Daniel J. Clauw, MD - Improving Patient Outcomes in Fibromyalgia Syndrome: A Clinical Update on Appropriate Diagnosis, Adequate Treatment, and Proper Management of Comorbid Conditions
This 3-part activity focuses on several aspects of the management of fibromyalgia. Highlights from the first part of the activity include the potential etiologies of fibromyalgia and tools to assist in the diagnosis of patients with this condition. The various types of pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapeutic approaches for fibromyalgia are discussed in the second part of the program. The third part of the activity addresses the treatment of comorbidity in patients with fibromyalgia. It also emphasizes the importance of an interdisciplinary approach for the management of fibromyalgia.
